About the Night:
Can you taste emotions? See sounds?
Zoe invites us into a synaesthetic experience of life, in a new interactive performance blending dance, sound, and theatre: Perception Questions.
The show plays at unmasking the weird perks and hurdles of a neurodivergent experience, alongside the wonder and mysteries of how we each perceive the world.
(Synaesthesia: a neurodivergent trait where stimulating one sense automatically and involuntarily triggers an experience in another.)
Falling Down
One performer dances and falls, pleads and protests, shouts and spirals. Through hedonistic movement, spoken text and live music, Falling Down explores our shifting relationship with the systems and institutions that shape our lives, in a performance that is both funny and unsettling.
About the Artists:
Zoë Solomons is a dance artist and performer based in Sussex, whose work moves between interactive live performance, dance film, and collaboration with nature, musicians and filmmakers. Lewys Holt is a Welsh-Canadian choreographer, performer and teacher based in Leeds. Their work combines choreography, improvisation, theatre and comedy to create accessible, formally ambitious performances. They are Artistic Director of perfectly serviceable and co-founder of Roadhouse, an artist-led platform for improvised performance.
