Community Forum

Join us for an evening of conversation about the future of Chisenhale Dance Space and the wider Chisenhale building.

Over the past year, CDS has been engaged in discussions with Tower Hamlets Council regarding the long-term future of the Chisenhale site, alongside wider plans connected to the Mayor's Accelerated Housing Programme. While no final decisions have been made, a potential redevelopment project is being explored that could secure the long-term future of the building, and create a new, fully accessible, purpose-built ground-floor home for CDS. 

As the project moves towards the planning stage, we want to reconnect with the wider CDS community and share the latest designs, proposals and thinking. We warmly invite artists, participants, alumni, neighbours, supporters and partners to join us, hear the latest developments, reconnect with one another, and help shape the next chapter of this extraordinary place.

Together we will take time to reflect on the remarkable space that has been CDS's home for nearly four decades. We'll begin gathering the stories, memories and legacies held within these walls—and honour everyone who has moved, made and imagined here.
