Join us for a joyful evening of creative replenishment, rest, and connection, featuring performances by Global Majority Heritage artists.
With performances, films, and activist interventions by artists from the CDS Artist Community: Sheyamali Sudesh, So’l Jelenke, Yash Zhang, Nimai Sham, and Christine Bramwell. These works are being developed through Creative and Heartfelt Tactics, a residency programme exploring art practice as activism, led by Dolly Sen and Caroline Cardus. The evening will be hosted by the brilliant Max Percy.
We recognise that there aren’t enough low-cost, supportive spaces for black, brown and global majority artists to meet each other and nourish their practices. This event will provide open time for socialising, with free food, and the chance to celebrate the work of radical Global Majority Heritage artists.
This event is open to anyone who considers themselves an artist, performer, or maker - whether professional, aspiring or hobbyist. It is specifically held for people who experience racism, and staffed by people with those lived experiences.
Tickets are set at £5 as a small contribution towards the cost of running the event. If you feel that this cost is a barrier to your attendance, email sonya@chisenhaledancespace.co.uk
