Artists haunt this city, from its financial centres to its residential backstreets. In 2026 London our work occupies the ghost space of collective dreaming: the ghost of movement, as a social object, shared, multiplied.
‘Haunting in Tandem’ unites over 20 artists from the Chisenhale Dance Space artist community, bringing their work together in a one-day festival spanning film, dance, live choreography, music and performance. This will be a day of discovery - works simultaneously popping up in hallways, stairwells, bathrooms, offices and (of course) our iconic studios.
As our community continues to rethink our position in advance of a change to the CDS site, this program asks, what can our bodies do here, that we can’t do anywhere else? What seeds has our building (occupied and artist-run since 1983) sown in us?
With performances from Alice Labant, Sean Murray, Max Percy, Yuka Hayashi, Stošija Zrinski, Satoshi Date, Manuela Albrecht, Moyra Cecilia Silva, and Nimai Sham.
Workshops from Ashley Lim, Zoe Tankard, and Lucy Turner.
Short film screening curated by Michael Mendones (artists TBA).

ACCESSIBILITY NOTES: Sadly, our building does not have step-free access. Parts of the program will be streamed for those not able to join us in person. We do not have BSL interpretation for this event, but will make sure that works and live speech are captioned wherever possible. A quiet space will be available for parts of the event, and there will be staff onsite to help with welfare needs.
Children are welcome at the event, but some works will feature nudity.
