About the Night:
HOMOglobin follows the journey of the drag character Crusty's relationship to phobia, fetish and queer identity. This piece explores how a diagnosed phobia can lead to a fetish and how the lines between fear and the erotic can be thin - all through a queer, comedic clown lens.
A playful exploration with the audience in order to share their story - Crusty does not shy away from the absurd, the shocking and the silly. From singing stupidity to side-show shockers - this show is not for the faint of heart. Unfortunately, Crusty is also the faint of heart.
So revel in your discomfort, revel in other people's discomfort and indulge in your schadenfreude as you watch Crusty tackle their innermost fears. From primary school RE lessons, to their first queer crush (we swear it's not Edward Cullen...) will Crusty be able to face their fears and live out their innermost desires?
This show is a work in progress and contrastive criticism after the show is welcome!
Content Notice: Simulated vomit noises, talk of blood, needles and blood (in the last 10 minutes of the show)
